| About
us Tag Out Trust
was formed in 1997 through
the Keep Waitakere Beautiful
executive committee. Its
primary goal was to remove
graffiti from properties,
which were not being handled
by Waitakere City Council
(WCC) contractors. The
emphasis of the trust
is that "we are community
driven and not profit
driven", while also saving
ratepayers' money, council
time and contributing
towards a more beautiful
city. |
| |
| The trust identifies
with the Waitakere City
vision of a 'Graffiti
Free Zone' and the importance
that it be implemented
by a professional organisation.
It now manages the Graffiti
Removal Contract on behalf
of WCC. The trust has
progressed from a small
self-funding operation,
to a major city contractor.
Having proved it was able
to provide WCC with a
more cost efficient and
effective method of service
delivery. |
| |
| It is part of the trust's
philosophy to take a proactive
approach to removing graffiti.
This includes establishing
a database of tags and
sharing that information
with schools and police
to identify and apprehend
taggers. Our proactive
attitude assists in reducing
graffiti throughout Waitakere
City. |
